Introduction
Lead Rescue is a brand visibility monitoring tool. We track how often your brand is mentioned, cited, and ranked across AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, and show how you compare to competitors. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it. If anything is unclear, email us at support@leadrescue.app.
Information we collect
- Account data: your email address, used for login and notifications
- Brand setup data: your website URL, brand name, niche, and the competitor names you choose to track
- Tracked prompts: the search prompts you configure for us to run
- Scan data: the responses AI engines return, plus what we derive from them — brand mentions, sentiment, citation URLs, and share of voice
- Billing data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details
- Usage data: how many scans you've run and how many prompts you track
- Technical data: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security and debugging

- To build your reports — mention rate, share of voice, sentiment, and citations
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To manage your subscription and plan limits
- To provide customer support when you reach out
- To improve the product, using aggregate patterns only — never your individual scan data

How scanning works & AI providers
To monitor your visibility, Lead Rescue sends your tracked prompts to third-party AI search engines and records their responses. Specifically, your prompts are sent to Google (Gemini), OpenAI (ChatGPT), and Perplexity. These providers process the prompts under their own privacy policies. We send only the prompt text needed to run the scan — we do not send your account details, billing data, or other customers' data. If you don't want a prompt sent to these engines, simply don't add it to your tracked prompts.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored with Supabase (managed PostgreSQL). Access is protected by row-level security, so your data is isolated from other accounts. Connections are encrypted in transit. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days of your request, except billing records we're legally required to keep.
Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these cases:
- AI providers (Google, OpenAI, Perplexity) — to run your scans, as described above
- Service providers — Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), who process data only to provide their service to us
- Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect our rights and users
- Business transfer — if Lead Rescue is ever acquired, your data may transfer as part of that, and you'll be notified
Your rights and choices
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account and scan history, or opt out of non-essential emails at any time. Email support@leadrescue.app and we'll take care of it.
GDPR compliance (EU/EEA/UK users)
If you're in the EU, EEA, or UK, we process your data on these legal bases: consent (you signed up), contract (to deliver the service you pay for), and legitimate interests (to secure and improve the product). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CCPA/CPRA compliance (California users)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
Lead Rescue is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it promptly.

International data transfers
Our providers may process data in countries different from yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
